Website Redesign Best Practices

Website Redesign Best Practices

If you’ve made your way to this blog then you’ve probably noticed that we have a new website! Our company has been through a few website designs over the years, but we’re especially pleased with this incarnation.

We created this new site for several reasons and we hope that this list helps you to reevaluate whether or not it’s time for a website overhaul for your brand as well.

  1. Our previous site was built to replace an almost 10 year old site that no longer represented our company so it was designed in a hurry.
  2. We needed a site that CLEARLY communicated who we are and what we do immediately on the home page.
  3. Our previous site did not showcase our creative and technical abilities as a marketing team.

If any of the above sounds familiar, it might be time for a redo. The Bright Productions team recommends significant updates to your website every three to four years. Seem like overkill? It’s not, and here’s why:

-Website security is a moving target. As hackers and other means of code weakness find new ways to compromise your site, security has to strengthen.

-Web design is always evolving and consumers are drawn to innovation.

-With more than half of all global website traffic happening on mobile devices, many websites are still designed with desktop in mind first and a mobile-friendly version second.

We worked hard on this site late nights in between clients to make it exactly what we needed it to be! We hope that our new site and advice inspires you to update yours. Need assistance in all things web, search, and social, contact us at info@brightproductions.com!
